The Midnight Silkie from Sliabh Liag Distillers is a blend of five Irish single malts. With 35% triple-distilled peated malt at its heart, this whiskey has been aged in an array of casks – including Bourbon, sherry, red wine, virgin oak, and imperial stout – to create a rich and lively dram. The nose offers notes of muscovado sugar along with pipe smoke, Christmas spices, chocolate orange, and baked apples. The palate is equally matched with the dried dark fruits paired with nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, toffee, leather, and dry peat.
