Dingle Distillery have proudly revealed thrir highly anticipated Grianstad an Gheimhridh Single Malt Whiskey, the fifth release in a series of nine limited-edition whiskeys in it's Wheel of the Year series.
This limited release whiskey honours the ancient Celtic celebration of Grianstad an Gheimhridh, the winter solstice. Grianstad translates to 'the stopping of the sun', and Dingle Grianstad an Gheimhridh Single Malt is a celebration of a time of year that is all about the dark of night drawing in. The Winter solstice is known as the shortest day of the year.
Nose: - Ice cream soda, blackcurrant jelly, banana caramel, pomegranate, cinnamon toast and warm ginger.
Taste: - Red berry fruits, dark chocolate, warm cloves, creamy soft fudge.
Finish: - The spice mellows leaving a lingering sweetness on the tip of the tongue.
