Gente de Mezcal Espadin is produced by Aureliano Hernández, a 5th generation mezcalero, in San Baltazar Guelavila, Oaxaca. The agave piñas are cooked in a ground oven, crushed with a stone mill, naturally fermented in wooden vats, and distilled in copper pots. This mezcal is floral with notes of macho chili and caramel. Gente de Mezcal Espadin won a Gold Medal at the 2019 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
